Welcome to NY-A Day Guide for the City of Auburn

You find yourself in central New York and want to plan an adventurous day off…

Here are some ways to do just that:

First things first, you will want to make your way over to the Auburn Diner- a diner that has the perfect old school feel that you think of when you think of a diner.

Then after eating a hearty and delicious meal, check out one of the many local museums:

-Seward House Museum

-Harriet Tubman Home

-Cayuga Museum of History & Art

-Ward W. O’ Hara Agricultural Museum

These are all great options for learning more about our local and national history.

After your museum visit, you will most likely be looking for a great lunch place… I cannot recommend New Hope Mills enough…. This is a great option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus it has the cutest gift shop as an added bonus.

After, you could check out another museum, or if you are museum ’ed out so to speak, head over to downtown Auburn to check out the downtown area.

At this point you may be experiencing the early afternoon coffee and chocolate craving, and in that case, you will want to make your way to Gretchen’s Confections-a Cafe filled with all the delicious chocolate your heart could ask for, delicious coffee, and more.

Auburn, New York is filled with hidden gems and local history and has much to offer on your day off.
